The Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) will unify the next generation of Army transport to comply with the Joint Regional Security Stack (JRSS) divestiture mandate. A phased systematic approach is required to provide individual sites with standardized, updated technology systems to ensure the Army’s Information Technology (IT) infrastructure is equipped to provide soldiers with cutting-edge technology to ensure applications, data, and enterprise services are accessible, trusted, and interoperable across the globe.



Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of cyber security for network/firewall systems
  • Interacts with customers to develop network and firewall rules designed to replace existing functionality of existing infrastructure
  • Identifies security risks, threats, and vulnerabilities to networks and designs and implements necessary security measures to nullify those threats.
  • Leads the creation of the organization's network and systems security measures and updates them as necessary to maintain security compliance
  • Identifies the information protection needs for systems and networks
  • Reviews and assists design engineers in overarching system design with a focus on Cybersecurity
  • Interacts with application vendors and subcontractors to verify their network device to achieve required Cybersecurity objectives
  • Assists in developing all applicable documents needed to obtain an Authorization to Operate (ATO) for fielded network systems
  • Assists in identifying the information protection needs for networks
  • Reviews and assists design engineers in overarching system design with a focus on Cybersecurity.



Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years experience with routers and firewalls
  • Experience with network and firewall security design for new implementations or for replacement of existing infrastructure
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree. Master’s degree with five (5) + year of experience or a Bachelor’s degree with ten (10) + years of experience or an Associate’s degree or High school diploma with fourteen (14) + years of experience



Certifications:

  • CompTIA Security+ CE Certification or other Systems OEM equivalent, CCNA Security and/or other Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II Level Certifications
