The position is based in our Portland office. The Administrative Coordinator plays a vital role in keeping our organization running smoothly and effectively, ensuring our staff and members have the support they need to succeed. We are expanding our administrative staff to keep pace with organizational growth and this is a new position at MPA. Exact duties for the role will be determined by the set of skills the best applicant brings to the position. This is a full-time (40 hours/week), unionized position reporting directly to the Field Strategy Director.Responsibilities may include:Administrative support across multiple departmentsBookkeeping and payroll administrationUpkeep of member databasesHuman Resources supportTravel and event logisticsExperience in the following areas is preferred:Bookkeeping and payroll administrationMember or customer databasesHuman ResourcesTravel and event coordinationA qualified applicant should possess:A commitment to building the power of everyday people to make progressive social change;Skill at working as part of a team;Proficiency in Microsoft Excel;Ability to navigate obstacles, set priorities, and move forward multiple projects at once;A willingness to work flexible hours, including some evenings and occasional weekends.This position is based in our Portland office, with some opportunities for remote workdays. The Administrative Coordinator reports to MPA's Field Strategy Director. This position is full-time and unionized, with a starting salary range of $45,000 - $55,000.
