Sr. Clinical Research Budget Analyst

Functional Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for the development of study budgets and negotiations to external funding agencies and sponsors including industry and contract research organizations.
  2. Works closely with PI and the study team to ensure that all expenses are captured accurately in the budget
  3. Facilitates ancillary department budgeting including lab, radiology, PCI, investigational pharmacy as needed for each study.
  4. Strives to meet expected turn around times for budget development and negotiation.
  5. Provides training and support for complex budget topics to junior team members, and the research community as needed.
  6. Participates in research coordinator training as needed by developing and delivering presentations at monthly meetings or quarterly orientations as needed.
  7. Supports the CTO manager in the development of routine productivity reports as needed.
  8. Participates in QA/QI initiatives as assigned.
  9. Completes financial build in OnCore Clinical Research Management Systems (CRMS).
  10. Act as a resource in patient care billing compliance, participating in training and education as needed.
  11. Acts as a resource in the development of internal policies, procedures and job aides related to clinical trial billing.
  12. Responsible Conduct of Research as main accountability.
  13. Consistently demonstrates adherence to the standards for the responsible conduct of research.
  14. Uses research funds and resources appropriately.
  15. Maintains confidentiality of data as required.
  16. Meets all annual job-related training and compliance requirements.

3-5 Must Have Skills/Qualifications

  • 5 Years of prior Experience with developing study budgets and sponsor negotiations.
  • 5 Years of prior clinical trials/research experience either as clinical research coordinator or in clinical research administration in academic institutions, bio-pharmaceuticals or a CRO. (ACADEMIC INSTITUTION PREFERRED)
  • Bachelors Degree (Sciences, Health Administration, Computer Science)
  • Strong experience with the use of computers and web-based applications in a security-focused environment.
  • Ability to analyze clinical research protocols, assess study budgets, and analyze clinical trial contracts including payment terms.
  • Ability to interact across the organization, and negotiate with the clinical research sponsor/ clinical research organization personnel in a professional manner to represent CNH.


Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with PowerTrials OnCore or other CTMS or data capture systems in support of clinical research is a plus.
  • Masters Degree
