Family Vision Care Associates is a family-owned and operated optometry practice that has been providing exceptional eye care to the Westchester community for over 60 years. We offer a wide range of services, including myopia control, corneal rehabilitation and specialty contact lens designs, treatment of eye diseases/conditions, pediatric eye care, and sports vision care. We are seeking a Part-Time Billing Specialist to join our team. This is an ideal role for a candidate looking for flexible hours- approx. 5-10 hours per week. Key Responsibilities: Tasks include generation and submission of claims, posting payments and submitting remittances, eligibility verification, collections, accounts receivable follow-up, acquiring prior authorization from insurances, and insurance appeals. Check and report the claim status of all unpaid account balances. Perform follow-up of unpaid balances, including correcting and resubmitting unpaid claims to insurance for reprocessing. Respond to questions regarding patient account balances. Monitor aged accounts receivable reports, performing follow-up, and making adjustments to patient accounts. Flexible work from home options available.
