Job Description:

  • Senior Technical Writer responsible for updating turbine manufacturing travelers to ensure compliance with industry and FAA regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with engineering and quality teams, ensuring accurate documentation of manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update turbine manufacturing travelers to align with current industry standards and FAA regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to understand existing travelers and identify necessary updates.
  • Research and interpret industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices related to turbine manufacturing.
  • Write clear, concise, and accurate documentation that complies with regulatory standards and enhances operational efficiency.
  • Review and edit technical documents for accuracy, clarity, and compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing, to support documentation efforts across different teams and locations.
  • Coordinate and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines and ensure timely updates to manufacturing travelers.
  • Conduct periodic reviews and audits of documentation to verify compliance with evolving regulatory standards and internal requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Writer in a manufacturing or aerospace environment.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) and FAA regulations related to aerospace manufacturing.
  • Proficiency in writing clear, concise, and compliant technical documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with the ability to translate and interpret technical information accurately.
  • Ability to travel to Mexicali location as needed for on-site collaboration and documentation updates.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with turbine manufacturing processes and related documentation practices.
  • Experience with document management systems and version control tools.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy in technical writing.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
