POSITION SUMMARY

Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a Program Security Representative to play a critical role in protecting our nation's most sensitive programs. In this impactful position, you'll provide comprehensive security support for high-priority Special Access Programs (SAPs), ensuring the protection of Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), and SAP activities. This is your opportunity to be at the heart of national security, offering day-to-day multi-discipline analysis and support for some of the most crucial initiatives in defense. RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to):

  • Ensure adherence to NISPOM, its Supplement, DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policies; develop and execute policies and procedures for safeguarding SAP, SCI, and collateral data.
  • Provide daily security support, continuously assess and improve security policies, procedures, and systems; identify vulnerabilities, threats, and risks to operational activities.
  • Assist in developing and training the Operations Security program; provide oversight and assistance to contractors and subordinate facilities.
  • Conduct and document SAP facility compliance reviews, follow-ups, and close-outs; monitor and track corrective actions, and ensure timely notification of security matters to program staff.
  • Brief personnel on security-related topics at all levels, including government and senior civilian services; coordinate SAP security education program improvements.
  • Investigate any loss or compromise of classified information, conducting preliminary inquiries and damage assessments.
  • Occasionally traverse between buildings; perform sedentary work at least 50% of the time.


REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must possess an active Department of Defense (DoD) TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Must possess eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
  • Must be willing to submit to a Counterintelligence polygraph.
  • Must possess some Special Access Program (SAP) experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Or an additional 4 years of relevant experience*.
  • 8-10 years related experience in program security, or other relevant field.
  • *Relevant Equivalent Experience: Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years of experience.
  • Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience.
  • Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years.
  • Ability to manage stress with professionalism, demonstrate leadership and critical thinking, and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
