Accounting Manager

A prominent client of mine is seeking an Accounting Manager for their expanding location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks to ensure the organization's financial health and compliance. Responsibilities:

  • Close Process:
  • Lead month-end and year-end accounting close
  • Ensure timely results (5-day close)
  • Perform corresponding reconciliations
  • Record weekly payroll expenditures
  • Complete monthly bank reconciliations for seven accounts
  • Analyze ledger to ensure accurate capture of all revenue and expenses
  • Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
  • Liaise with the external Sales & Use Tax team
  • Treasury:
  • Manage accounts payable & receivable processes
  • Review and improve payments & receipts processes
  • Administer weekly check runs and provide expenditure recommendations
  • Prepare cash forecasts and provide insight into opportunities and risks
  • Prepare ACH/wire transactions
  • General Accounting:
  • Improve and maintain the general ledger
  • Monitor fixed asset activity
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
  • Coordinate and complete annual internal audits
  • Provide recommendations regarding accounting activities


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or relevant experience
  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in accounting and finance
  • 3+ years of accounting/financial analysis experience (manufacturing/CPD industry preferred)
  • Highly computer literate with experience in data mining and ERP systems
  • Inquisitive, deadline-driven, high-energy individual capable of working independently and as a key contributor
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, and the willingness to accept and delegate new responsibilities in a fast-growing environment
  • Proficiency in relevant software, such as MS Excel, Word, and Outlook (DEACOM proficiency is a plus)


Schedule

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Shift: Day shift - Monday to Friday
  • After training it will be 1 day remote
  • After 1 year it will be two days remote
