ResponsibilitiesAbout the role The Financial Planning and Analysis Manager will be a highly motivated individual with strong analytical and communication skills. The manager will conduct complex financial analysis in several primary areas: Financial Planning, Financial Analysis, Financial Administration and Administration of Financial Planning Systems. This role will assist in maximizing the profitability of the company by actively participating in the financial decisions of the departments/areas supported. This role will also work with leaders across GM Financial regarding annual budgeting and monthly forecasting. Responsibilities also include ensuring compliance with all financial policies of the company, and fully analyze moderately complex company operations to identify profit improvement opportunities. In this role you will: Manages and prepares budgets and forecasts for assigned areas Prepares and distributes monthly/quarterly/yearly financial statements for assigned areas Analyzes monthly/quarterly/yearly variances to budget, communicates important trends and measures Supports assigned areas with general financial administration Monitors and thoroughly analyzes the profitability of projects within assigned areas Develops and maintains moderately complex planning models both short and long term Analyzes financial data and makes recommendations to enhance business processes and profitability Propose methods to streamline forecast and reporting processes Develops models to assist with Activity Based Costing QualificationsWhat makes you a dream candidate? Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling Strong knowledge of financial planning and analysis principles Familiarity with financial systems and reporting tools Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data Strong organizational and time management skills Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field required 5+ years in Accounting, Finance and auto loan industry preferred Master's Degree or CPA/CFA designation preferred What We Offer: Generous benefits package available on day one to include: 401K matching, bonding leave for new parents (12 weeks, 100% paid), tuition assistance, training, GM employee auto discount, community service pay and nine company holidays.
