Summary /Objective

The Retail Sales & Operations Senior Manager is responsible for our retail store channel. This role is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the retail store fleet. This role will coordinate with senior leadership on all operational procedures and strategic growth plans for sales and operations. This involves designing policies and procedures, recruiting and training, performance management and KPI tracking, CRM responsibility, inventory planning and budgeting responsibility.


Position Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


Operations & Sales

  • Retail planning, forecasting, and replenishment of retail budgets
  • Source, negotiate, and direct vendors for store operations in a cost-effective way
  • Work closely with project managers to lead the store opening/closing process
  • Daily check in with stores to ensure all needs are met to drive selling effectiveness
  • Closely monitor payroll in stores, reporting on inefficiencies to course-correct
  • Support with store scheduling strategy
  • Manage process for supplies and packaging orders
  • Work closely with product planning and logistics to create efficiencies in the delivery process
  • Align with internal omni channel departments and partners to ensure sales are being effectively through the retail stores
  • Create reporting to update leadership on store expense and profit
  • Align with Store Management to identify key needs by market and identify steps for resolution
  • Work with IT to ensure that store systems are functioning at 100%
  • Support in creating best practices and store standards
  • Log all maintenance tickets and follow up until completion
  • Act as a liaison between landlord and corporate offices


Customer Service

  • Have a customer-first mindset in everything we do
  • Investigate and propose new solutions to improve the customer experience through our store operations
  • Respond to all feedback from the team and customer quickly and effectively
  • Work cross-functionally to solve customer and team issues when they arise


Communications

  • Lead communications to retail stores, ensuring they are up to date with all sales initiatives, directives, and marketing activations
  • Support the team by keeping teams on schedule and compliant with all operational tasks
  • Report to stores and upward to management on compliance for all things sales and operations-related
  • Serve as the corporate liaison between stores and corporate partners, helping them solve queries to completion


People Development

  • Along with the Store Manager recruit, train, and develop management team and staff ensuring all positions are filled promptly with qualified talent
  • Continually evaluate the performance of the store's management team to provide constant feedback to ensure results
  • Assist Store Manager in the resolution of all human resources issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with corporate HR when necessary


Continuous Improvement

  • Guide decision making with fiscal responsibility and alignment to the overall enterprise strategy
  • Look for opportunities and cost savings programs where appropriate
  • Create streamlined processes to ensure business success


Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Ability to manage many different tasks and projects simultaneously while staying on schedule
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally to solve problems
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent personal organizational skills with attention of detail and accuracy
  • Strong critical thinking
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Available to travel and support store coverage in emergency situations/during leadership turnover
  • Flexible working hours


Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years retail operations experience, in-store experience required
