This person will act as a 1st level manager of all Shipping & Receiving operators & leads while also possessing the ability to troubleshoot, diagnose and fix issues with the processes as they arise. The Shipping & Receiving Supervisor will be responsible for achieving specific goals and maintaining the culture & efficiency of the shipping & receiving staff.


Responsibilities

  • On-floor presence and 1st level management of operators & leads.
  • The safety of employees on shift.
  • To work closely with sales support, production departments and logistics to properly and accurately package, stage and ship Finished Material in a timely manner.
  • Meeting the efficiency, accuracy and aesthetic standards of Freestone Forest Products
  • Shift discipline, employee review & to aide with the hiring & firing practices
  • Training leads, forklift operators and packaging personnel.  
  • Startup & Close of a shift (verifying the proper procedures are followed through with) and that the facility is secure.
  • Inventory control of Finished Product as well as inbound raw materials.
  • Shift labor paperwork & shift metrics.
  • Communicate proactively all successes, mistakes and hinderances to the overall team to reach resolution for FFP and our clients.

Requirements

  • Possessing or the ability to be trained in an extensive knowledge of Product Specifications and the standards of FFP.
  • Possessing or the ability to be trained in an extensive knowledge of shipping & receiving processes.
  • Possessing or the ability to be trained in a working knowledge of basic troubleshooting practices, basic mechanical fixes of forklifts and packaging machinery.  
  • Strong leadership traits & decision-making abilities to aide in shift situations & labor efficiency.
  • Shipping & Receiving experience.
  • Supervisory experience.

Compensation

  • Base Salary commensurate with shipping & receiving experience & industry experience.
