These contracts offer steady hours, overtime opportunities, and long-term extensions across multiple facilities in Texas. Key Details Position: LVN – Corrections Shifts: Days available 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM Length: 16 weeks (continuous extensions available) Hours per Week: 36/48 (block booking by the 20th of each month) Work Week: Saturday – Friday (OT calculated weekly) Holiday Coverage: Must be able to work through the holidays (no RTO allowed during holidays) Facility Locations Hiring Opportunities available across multiple TDCJ facilities: Palestine, TX Tennessee Colony, TX Teague, TX Gainesville, TX Dayton, TX Huntsville, TX Beeville, TX Navasota, TX Cleveland, TX Compensation (Weekly Estimates) (Taxable + Per Diem): 36 hrs: $1,490/week 48 hrs: $1,910/week Requirements License: Active Texas or Compact LVN Certifications: BLS required Experience: Minimum 2 years as an LVN At least 1 year of acute Med-Surg experience required Corrections experience not required Skills: Thick-skinned, independent, adaptable Able to succeed in a fast-paced corrections setting Other: COVID vaccine required (exemptions accepted per TDCJ policy) Float Requirements May float to nearby units (10–30 minutes away) with compensated drive time (up to 30 minutes). May be diverted to facilities within 50 miles of primary assignment.
