Alpine Research Optics/Altechna is looking for an experienced Fabrication Technician / Optical Polisher to join our team If you are detail-oriented, patient & methodical, and take pride in a job well-done, we would love to talk with you about this exciting opportunity

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Experience with double side and continuous polishing highly desirable
  • Polish spherical optics to tight specifications, using spindle pitch polishing machines
  • Must be able to block parts and make polishing laps
  • Experience polishing a variety of materials, including fused silica as well as precision glasses
  • Comfortable with using interferometer as well as test plates to measure parts

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or equivalent education or experience as deemed by ARO Management
  • 3+ years of optical polishing experience
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings and instructions
  • Methodical, detail-oriented, and organized
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Production-minded
  • Strong work ethic
  • Positive attitude

ABOUT OUR BENEFITS:

Day shift (7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.), with a 30-minute lunch break.

Starting Wage at $25-30/hour, based on experience.
