Job Description:

Hope Christian Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant Group Home Manager to join our team. The Assistant Group Home Manager will work closely with the Group Home Manager to oversee the daily operations of our residential group home and provide support and supervision to direct support professionals and residents.

Responsibilities:

· Assist the Group Home Manager in the overall management and administration of the residential group home, including staffing, scheduling, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.

· Provide supervision, guidance, and support to direct support professionals (DSPs) and other staff members, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care and services to residents.

· Participate in the hiring, training, and performance evaluation of DSPs, and provide ongoing coaching and professional development opportunities as needed.

· Collaborate with the Group Home Manager to develop and implement individualized support plans and goals for residents, and monitor progress towards achieving outcomes.

· Ensure that all residents receive appropriate and compassionate care, support, and assistance with activities of daily living, personal care, medication management, and community integration.

· Coordinate and oversee recreational and leisure activities, outings, and community-based events for residents, promoting socialization, engagement, and independence.

· Maintain accurate and timely documentation of resident records, incident reports, medication administration records and other required documentation in compliance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.

· Communicate effectively with residents, families, guardians, case managers, healthcare providers, and agency staff to coordinate care, address concerns, and promote positive relationships.

· Assist with housekeeping, meal preparation, and other household duties as needed to ensure a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for residents.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in social work, human services, psychology, or related field preferred but not required. Relevant work experience and certifications may be considered in lieu of a degree.

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Minimum of two years of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting.

· Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

· Knowledge of person-centered planning principles, trauma-informed care approaches, and regulatory requirements for residential services.

· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

· Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

· Must submit to a criminal background check and be deemed qualified by the Department of Human Services prior to hire.

· Shall submit to drug testing prior to employment as well as randomly and for cause.

· Must agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities and Child Abuse Registry Information.

Salary: $19.00 - $21.25 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
