Role Description

STRATA is seeking a full-time on-site Sample Merchandise Assistant in Miami, FL. As the Sample Merchandise Assistant, you will support the production team in all aspects, including but not limited to data entry, creating purchase orders, tracking shipments, & updating production timelines. You will also be responsible for maintaining tech packs and communicating with vendors and factories as needed. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and completion of products, as well as our premium level of quality standards.


Responsibilities

  • Track and receive all sample shipments within PP and TOP sample WIP reports.
  • Review all incoming/outgoing shipments and identify and report any discrepancies or issues with samples.
  • Keep inventory count of merchandising line and core line. As well as the inventory management of our off-site sample room.
  • Ship out samples via DHL, Fedex, UPS.
  • Update Mondays Sample incoming/outgoing board.
  • Send trackings through slack.
  • Pick up deliveries and drop off packages when needed.
  • Measure and take photos of all incoming samples.
  • Steam and organize all incoming and showroom samples.
  • Assist in reviewing all size specs and tech packs alongside samples.
  • Assist Production/development coordinators in day to day tasks
  • Create product descriptions and weigh samples for Ecommerce.
  • Attend factory & client meetings as needed
  • Create and add sample cards for all samples
  • Able to discuss all production updates on internal STRATA calls and communicate any sample delays and timelines.
  • Send sample reference invoices through Slack-designated channels.
  • Organize all sample photos into the google drive.
  • Take production notes for calls, organize and send them through slack and organize them on google drive.
  • Prepare samples for production meetings.
  • Pick up sample packages from the showroom weekly


Qualifications

  • Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, or related fields preferred
  • 1+ year of experience preferably in fashion or apparel industry
  • Strong communication skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of Clothing Brands
  • Knowledge of garment construction, production timelines, and materials
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams is a plus
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and deadlines
  • Positive attitude, team player mentality, and willingness to learn and grow with the company
  • Bilingual is preferred (Spanish & English)
