Responsibilities:
- The Continuous Improvement Manager must mentor and facilitate the standardization of manufacturing processes.
- Must lead Kaizen events and educate employees on the benefits of standardized, disciplined approaches to work.
- Conduct audits to verify strict adherence to standard practices.
- Advocate for and support the strategic vision, principles, and annual objectives, ensuring ongoing alignment and course correction across the organization.
- The Continuous Improvement Manager must apply leadership skills and Lean Manufacturing principles to train and guide employees at all levels, fostering a culture of Continuous Improvement.
- Establish comprehensive standards for various operational aspects including training, process parameters, equipment condition, task performance, and product quality.
- Collaborate with employees and managers to identify and apply best practices for each operation or process.
- The Continuous Improvement Manager must ensure thorough and ongoing training for personnel to maintain high performance standards.
- Identify and eliminate waste in processes and practices to improve efficiency.
- Assist in resolving production, equipment, and system issues, including conducting root cause analyses and implementing corrective actions.
- The Continuous Improvement Manager must support the revision and development of standard work procedures.
- Perform benchmarking against both internal and external organizations to drive improvement.
Qualifications
- The Continuous Improvement Manager must hold a bachelor’s degree.
- Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
- Six sigma green belt/ black belt
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a manufacturing industrial setting, preferably in bathware
- Must have 2+ years of leadership experience
- The Continuous Improvement Manager must be proficient in MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and Internet applications.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to establish rapport with all organizational levels, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to teach, mentor, and coach others.
- Open to 75% travel within the USA/Canada.
- Some knowledge of or experience with Smartsheet, VISIO, CAD, Value Stream Mapping, Time Studies, Line Balancing, and Project Management, is a plus
