Pay Rate: $21-26/hr
Job Description:
The RDS team is a fast moving group who works with development and manufacturing to build the processes and transfers new products into manufacturing. There are engineers on the RDS team that can help train and guide technicians on the responsibilities listed below.
Job Responsibilities:
- Installs repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation.
- Dismantles machinery and removes/replaces defective parts.
- Determines changes in requirements of parts by inspecting and measuring various instruments.
- Maintains inventories of equipment parts and supplies by checking stock and placing orders.
- Trains production workers on routine preventive maintenance.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares maintenance reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures rules and regulations.
- Maintains electronic records and documentation to comply with industry requirements.
Work Hours
Technicians work a standard 40-hour workweek but overtime can often be required due to unexpected maintenance issues.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of related work experience
- High school graduate or GED required, technical school training in maintenance related courses are preferred
- Ability to understand and interpret design documents, manufacturer s specifications and written operational procedures
- Excellent interpersonal skills to ensure teamwork and positive client/tenant/co-worker relations
- Be able to take direction and follow instructions
- Must be safety conscious
- Ability to organize and prioritize tasks to ensure accuracy and timely completion
- Capable of doing extensive walking, climbing of stairs and ladders, lifting/carrying a minimum of 50 pounds by applying proper body mechanics
- Willingness to work overtime on special projects as required.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software
- Have working knowledge of tools and their proper use
