Looking for qualified automation system technician to conduct routine automation equipment qualifications, preventive maintenance and trouble shooting. Responsibilities include writing procedures and training operators, facilitate automation equipment qualifications, inspecting equipment on weekly basis, identifying potential tool break down risks, and supporting automation tools production runs.


Key qualifications

  • · 3+ years of hands-on experience in mechanical, electronics and quality fields.
  • · Experience in mechanical/electrical equipment repairing and maintenance.
  • · Experience with robot systems including vision system.
  • · Very strong understanding with test platforms such as ATE (automated test equipment) utilizing data acquisition and instrumentation control.
  • · Experience in mechanical/electrical/automation field of any of the following area: consumer electronics, small medical devices, automotive/aerospace/industrial components, injection molding, jigs, tooling, machine vision, will be considered.
  • · Familiar with test plan execution and data collection is a plus.


Description

  • Automation equipment sustaining:
  • · Control all production automation tools’ recipe creation, audit and backup in order to support new project builds.
  • · Support automation system qualification activities in regarding to test samples preparation, MES set up and large volume stability tests.
  • · Facilitate tool downtime planning and parts procurement.
  • · Conduct weekly tool health checks at all testing labs in local area.
  • · Assist battery testing lab team with logging and tracking of automation tool issues and preparing reports for management to review.
  • · Assist lab team in troubleshooting issues
  • · Collaborate with vendor local support team for tool repair and maintenance.
  • · Work in weekend shifts to support multiple production labs’ automation system runs and bring systems up as needed.
  • Automation system training
  • · Provide comprehensive SOPs and training materials for automation system operation
  • · Provide routine trainings for all lab staffs who are operating automation systems
  • · Update training materials when new features and functions are introduced to system
  • New projects automation system compatibility support
  • · Closely collaborate with metrology equipment team for new project samples’ automation system compatibility evaluation, testing, troubleshooting.
  • · Identify sample compatibility issues and report to lead engineer.
  • · Be able to identify root cause analysis and provide suggestions for potential risk mitigation plans.
  • · Domestic and global travel required (approx. 10%)


Education

A.S/B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
