Your Role:

As a Product Developer, you will be at the heart of innovation, leading the development and production of new early childhood classroom products. You will bring fresh ideas to life by guiding concepts through the entire product development process—from initial ideation to the final product launch. Your creativity, attention to detail, and passion for education will be essential as you collaborate with cross-functional teams to design products that meet the needs of young learners and educators.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovative Product Development: Identify and create new product opportunities by analyzing market trends, understanding classroom needs, and leveraging our current product portfolio.
  • Concept to Completion: Lead the product development process from idea generation to final production, ensuring products are engaging, educational, and meet quality standards.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with our Buyers, Category Managers, and Quality Assurance team to develop products that align with our educational goals and brand values.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with both domestic and international suppliers, ensuring products are developed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Market Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, competitive products, and educational standards such as Head Start and Common Core to ensure our products remain relevant and effective.
  • Creative Input: Contribute to the aesthetic design, functionality, and marketing strategies of our products, ensuring they resonate with educators and parents alike.
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborate with our Quality Assurance department to ensure all products meet safety and quality standards, providing peace of mind to our customers.

What You Bring:

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience in the early childhood market (ages 0-8), with a proven track record of developing children's products from concept to market.
  • Creative Expertise: Ability to design and develop products using various materials such as wood, fabric, molded plastics, and more.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Excel. Knowledge of US safety standards for children's products is a plus.
  • Educational Background: A degree in business administration, merchandising, marketing, early education, or a related field is highly desirable.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Passion for Education: A deep commitment to creating products that support and enhance early childhood education.
