The Information Systems Technology Services department is a cohesive unit that effectively collaborates across various sectors to provide superior technology solutions. The SAP Electric Operations Work Management Delivery team is dedicated to offering SAP IT services tailored for the Electric line of business, emphasizing strategic technology planning, roadmap formulation, solution design, implementation, and ongoing support.

Position Summary

The role of Principal IT SAP Work Management Functional Analyst encompasses the configuration, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of SAP Enterprise Resource Planning modules related to Plant Maintenance and Project Systems. This position also involves analyzing business needs, drafting functional design documentation, executing ERP system configurations, and customizing solutions to meet the requirements of both the Line of Business and IT departments.

Responsibilities

Business Support and Consulting:

  • Establish standard procedures within SAP S4 and promote adaptation in the enterprise work management sector.
  • Examine comprehensive business processes related to scheduling, dispatching, and field mobility solutions.
  • Identify, recommend, and advocate for IT solutions addressing complex cross-departmental business challenges.
  • Assess existing customizations within the system to reduce future implementation expenses.

Functional Analysis:

  • Enhance and automate SAP work management processes through integration with third-party enterprise resource planning systems.
  • Align business requirements with SAP S4 system functionalities and configure accordingly.
  • Conduct intricate configurations of the SAP S4 system and oversee quality assurance and testing processes.

  • Capable of independently analyzing and designing solutions for the most intricate projects within the SAP work management and plant maintenance modules.
  • Foster a community that promotes standardized business processes in enterprise work management.
  • Exhibit extensive knowledge of industry best practices concerning ERP projects and business processes.
  • Stay informed about industry developments in ERP systems and future capabilities in the work management and project systems domain.
Qualifications

Minimum:

  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in Information Technology.
  • At least 8 years of experience as a Functional Analyst specializing in Enterprise Asset Management and Plant Maintenance within the SAP ERP framework.
  • Familiarity with SAP compatible units and graphical work design and estimation tools.

Desired:

  • MA/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with mobile platforms in construction projects and the utility sector.
  • Proficiency in SAP S4 Hana, Plant Maintenance, EAM, Oracle P6/Primavera, Infor EAM, Maximo, etc.
  • Experience in drafting business requirements documents and software specifications.
