In this role, you will:Conduct the fundamental equity research process for the purpose of providing differentiated industry and stock-specific content, including building and maintaining financial forecasts and stock recommendations for our institutional investor client base.Communicate research findings to both internal stakeholders and our institutional investor client base via consistent dialogue.Build strong relationships not only with Equity Research colleagues, but also with Equity Sales, Cash Trading, Derivatives, Wealth Management, and others.The Associate will:Demonstrate subject matter knowledge within the Chemicals sector and a strong understanding of the companies within the sector.Conduct rigorous analysis of financial statements and industry, company, and market data sets.Create and update financial models and databases.Author, with Senior Analyst, differentiated research content on companies and industry themes.Attend company and industry events; cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts.Communicate research conclusions to internal and external constituents.Collaborate with research peers to support the generation of cross-sector research content.Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.Required Qualifications:2+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, educationDesired Qualifications:A BS/BA or higherDirect experience within the industry or equity research industry specific sector - Chemicals.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are importantAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including high level of proficiency in modelingAdvanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skillsStrong writing skills and attention to detailKnowledge and understanding of financial statement analysisKnowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industryKnowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet applicationJob Expectations:Up to 10% travelRegistration for FINRA SIE must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.Registration for FINRA Series 86 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.Registration for FINRA Series 87 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire.Posting Location: 150 E 42nd Street, New York, NY 10017Pay Range: $143,000.00 - $224,000.00Benefits: Wells Fargo provides eligible employees with a comprehensive set of benefits, including health benefits, 401(k) Plan, paid time off, disability benefits, life insurance, critical illness insurance, and accident insurance, parental leave, critical caregiving leave, discounts and savings, commuter benefits, tuition reimbursement, scholarships for dependent children, and adoption reimbursement.
