Summary/Objective:-

The Mechanical Engineer position designs mechanical systems for residential and commercial buildings.


Essential Job Functions:-

  • Design from conceptual design phase through construction.
  • Attend meetings with clients and take diligent notes.
  • Attend job site walks to observe existing conditions and construction progress.
  • Basis of design writing.
  • Understanding of Mechanical Engineering fundamentals.
  • Working knowledge of the codes & standards
  • Ability to read construction documents.
  • Ability to design mechanical systems i.e. HVAC and plumbing systems
  • Ability to perform Mechanical Engineering Calculations
  • Provide responses to Requests for Information (RFI’s)
  • Performs engineering assignments with clear and specified objectives.
  • Ability to climb ladders and survey construction sites.


Competencies:-

  • AutoCAD
  • Revit
  • Microsoft Windows, Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Navisworks or similar clash detection design tool
  • MEP Fabrication
  • Internet Browser


Required Education and Experience:-

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering with 5-8 years of experience.
