GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking an experienced QA Lead to oversee the testing of our video games on both console and PC platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gaming, a strong background in quality assurance, and specialized experience in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA) and compliance testing. In this role, you will set goals and standards for the QA team, mentor team members, and foster a proactive, results-driven environment. You will also be responsible for delegating video capturing tasks to the QA team, ensuring that all content aligns with our high standards.


Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead QA Testing:

  • Oversee and manage the QA process for console and PC games, ensuring thorough testing and high-quality releases.
  • Develop and enforce testing standards and best practices within the QA team.

Specialized LQA and Compliance Testing:

  • Lead LQA testing to ensure all localized content is accurate, culturally appropriate, and free of errors.
  • Oversee compliance testing to ensure the game meets all platform-specific requirements (e.g., PlayStation, Xbox, PC) and certification standards.

Video Capturing & Content Creation:

  • Delegate video capturing tasks to QA team members to showcase gameplay, features, and bugs.
  • Ensure captured content meets the required quality and is effectively used for marketing, documentation, and internal purposes.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:

  • Mentor and support the professional growth of QA team members.
  • Promote a proactive, collaborative, and high-performance culture within the team.

Collaboration with Development Teams:

  • Work closely with developers, designers, and other departments to communicate issues, share insights, and ensure alignment.

Quality Assurance Goals & Standards:

  • Set clear, achievable goals for the QA team, driving continuous improvement.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of QA processes.

Process Improvement:

  • Identify areas for process optimization and implement changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Introduce new tools, techniques, or methodologies to enhance QA performance.


Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

· Proven experience in QA and production within the video game industry.

· Strong understanding of game development processes and pipelines.

· Proficiency in video capturing tools and software.

· Experience with bug-tracking tools (e.g., Mantis, Jira) and testing methodologies.

· Excellent leadership and communication skills.

· Detail-oriented with a strong problem-solving mindset.

· Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Passion for Gaming: A genuine interest in the gaming industry and understanding of the unique challenges involved in game localization.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with various game engines and development tools.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Knowledge of current gaming trends and platforms.

Work Environment & Physical Demands:
