Don't just imagine the possibilityjoin us.Your LeadershipResponsible for managing the resort food & beverage heart of house areasMaintain cleanliness and organization of all catered event locations, including but not limited to Moreland Landing, the Village Green, etc.Maintaining processes and procedures to ensure safe and responsible operation of the departments' assigned carts and motor vehiclesMaintain and monitor all area of stewarding to be in compliance with state and federal health codes at all times supervising all Stewarding AssociatesRecruit, interview, and onboard all Stewarding AssociatesOversee training and development of all StewardsCreate and distribute a weekly schedule for all Stewarding AssociatesManage all inventory and storage of food & beverage and banquet equipmentCommunicate daily with Executive Chef, Executive Sous Chef, Executive Pastry Chef, Banquet Chef, Director of Food & Beverage and Director of Banquets to obtain and provide information regarding current status of daily activities without experiencing shortages or excessive inventory situationsOrder supplies and maintain proper levels of inventoryEnsure all ware washing equipment is in working orderMaintain cleanliness in all back of house areas including kitchens and walk-insDeliver food for banquet events and breaking down stations for the conclusion of eventsDrive and maintain the kitchen recycling programAssist the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef upon request with special projects and initiativesMonitor and enforce all hotel policies and procedures through established human resource processes with assistance of the Executive ChefReview daily payroll report/records and maintain labor cost within established budgetary limitsLead departmental meetings to effectively communicate with department AssociatesDeliver on guests expectations and have the desire to create wow momentsPerform additional duties as assigned that may be outside the scope of duties, based on business needsAbout YouYou are passionate about food and beverage operationsYou are exceptional in leading a teamYou are passionate about providing exceptional service and creating memorable momentsYou are open to learning, developing, and growing both yourself, personally, and seek opportunities to develop, coach and mentor othersYou define success based on the cohesiveness and satisfaction of your teamYou are trustworthy and have integrityMust HavesKnowledge of stewarding service techniques and cost controls such as labor, productivity, and other expensesAbility to recognize the whole picture of the needs of your team, department or organizationExcellent verbal and written communication skillsMicrosoft Office products; Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookEmbrace technology continually learn, adapt, and master to new operating systemAbility to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidaysLuxury hotel experience, a plusYou Will EnjoyDTO (Discretionary Time Off)Healthcare benefitsHealth Savings Account and Flexible Spending Accounts401[k] retirement plan with company matching, fully vested, and loan optionBanking and Investing Program offers preferred rewards, mortgage discount, and waived feesFertility & Family Forming AssistanceParental leave pay differentialPet InsuranceHotel discountsFree mealsFitness & wellness discountsLinkedIn Learning membershipHearts of Montage community engagementAssociate's events throughout the yearPhysical RequirementsGrasping, holding, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending overAbility to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shiftAbility to lift and carry up to 30 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shiftAbility to push and pull carts weighing up to 200 pounds on a semi-regular basisAt Montage, we want every guest and every associate to feel that they belong.
