Join a team where your contribution is recognized and your well-being matters.We are currently searching for an experienced Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk with a solid background in the trucking or transportation sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, understands industry-specific billing processes, and can manage financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency. You'll support the accounting department by maintaining precise financial records and ensuring that all transactions meet internal and industry standards.Key ResponsibilitiesAccurately enter and process all AR transactions in a timely mannerConduct account reconciliations and investigate discrepanciesMaintain and update customer account details, including contracts and payment termsGenerate and distribute invoices in accordance with company policiesManage collections and follow up on outstanding balancesAssist with month-end close activities such as journal entries and account reviewsProvide professional support to customers regarding billing or payment questionsPrepare depositsTransfer information from the TMS into the accounting systemPrint, organize, and respond to email correspondenceAnswer incoming calls and provide clear, courteous assistanceHandle other duties as needed to support the accounting teamQualificationsAt least one year of hands-on AR/AP or related accounting experienceStrong understanding of general accounting procedures, especially within trucking/transportationProficiency with accounting software and strong 10-key data entry skillsAbility to interpret financial data and complete reconciliations accuratelyExcellent math skills and exceptional attention to detailStrong verbal and written communication abilities with a professional phone presencePrevious accounting experience is highly preferredAble to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environmentThis position offers a full-time schedule and the potential for long-term advancement within the finance team.
