ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CLERK W/LOGISTICS EXPERIENCE

We are currently searching for an experienced Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable Clerk with a solid background in the trucking or transportation sector. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured environment, understands industry-specific billing processes, and can manage financial tasks with accuracy and efficiency. You’ll support the accounting department by maintaining precise financial records and ensuring that all transactions meet internal and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accurately enter and process all AR transactions in a timely manner
  • Conduct account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies
  • Maintain and update customer account details, including contracts and payment terms
  • Generate and distribute invoices in accordance with company policies
  • Manage collections and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Assist with month-end close activities such as journal entries and account reviews
  • Provide professional support to customers regarding billing or payment questions
  • Prepare deposits
  • Transfer information from the TMS into the accounting system
  • Print, organize, and respond to email correspondence
  • Answer incoming calls and provide clear, courteous assistance
  • Handle other duties as needed to support the accounting team
Qualifications
  • At least one year of hands-on AR/AP or related accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of general accounting procedures, especially within trucking/transportation
  • Proficiency with accounting software and strong 10-key data entry skills
  • Ability to interpret financial data and complete reconciliations accurately
  • Excellent math skills and exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities with a professional phone presence
  • Previous accounting experience is highly preferred
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-moving environment

Pay Range: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
Hours: 40 per week
