Billing & Data Control SpecialistThe Billing & Data Control Specialist ensures timely and accurate billing of electric, solar, and broadband services. He/she will also manipulate data and manage devices within the Tantalus Advanced Metering Infrastructure System and NISC Meter Data Management Systems.Essential Functions:Issue/Perform re-reads and investigations as neededPrepare daily billings utilizing MDMS, NISC, and Tantalus softwarePrepare final bills to be deducted from deposits for residential and industrialInput contracts and tax-exempt certificatesPerform billing adjustments and prepare updated billing statementsVerify temporary pedestal chargesPerform daily review of meter shop test report and dashboardCreate remote disconnect, ARM, and meter exchange ordersMaintain accounts for Green Power Provider and Solar Community creditsUpdate daily AMR readingsMonitor and maintain service ordersSchedule and verify daily billingsAuthenticate monthly billing schedules and readingsDaily editing and monitoring of the Meter Data Management SystemDaily monitoring of the Tantalus AMI SystemPrepare monthly billing for voice, video, and broadband servicesPerform all functions associated with the reconciliation and billing of street and securityAdditional Responsibilities:Perform other duties as requested or assignedMust maintain a valid driver's license from state of residenceMust be available for after-hours work which would include working fair share of all necessary overtimeAbility to maintain reliable, predictable, and reasonable attendanceKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Ability to positively contribute to a culture of innovation and collaboration strongly desiredAbility to analyze broad data sets and provide actionable insightsMust possess strong data processing and software skills, including but not limited to Microsoft Office and enterprise billing softwareMust have a strong math backgroundMust have a general knowledge of all departmental functions and policiesExperience designing/developing reports and dashboards, Tableau, or equivalent BI products a plusMust have manual dexterity and the ability to perform data entry functions on a computerMust have the ability to apply common sense and reasoning to carry out instructions furnished in a written or oral formEmbraces relevant technology and actively improves skills through informal and formal learningPhysical Requirements:Constant sitting, handling, fingering, feeling, fine manipulation, vision, static position (head and neck), talking, hearing, use of arm/hand for machine control operation. Frequent reaching is required. Occasional lifting of less than 10 lbs.Working Conditions:Indoor climate-controlled office environment with appropriate lightingQualifications:High School diploma or equivalent requiredAdvanced mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills requiredAssociate degree or higher preferredPrior experience using NISC, IVU, and/or other billing software applications preferredThree years' experience in utility billing preferredBrightRidge wishes to be in full compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
