OVERVIEW
Leading the Anti-Piracy vertical within SRAD’s Rights & Revenue Protection Services (RRP), the Manager, Rights Protection will be responsible for leading the identification, monitoring, testing and timely resolution of all audiovisual infringements within SRAD’s ecosystem. Working closely with all aspects of SRAD’s AV vertical and rights holder partners, the intention is to proactively ensure protection of Sportradar’s intellectual property through diligent action.
THE CHALLENGE:
- Manage the sub-unit, from recruitment of staff to formalization of existing, or creation of new, processes via monitoring of SRAD rights as well as lead actions to disrupt infringements
- Actively contribute to the wider RRP revenue target through identification, evidence capture, disruption and redress of infringements
- Close cooperation with various other unit and department leads throughout SRAD, including AV Ops and AV Engineering, to ensure RRP’s efforts serve the business effectively and efficiently
- Establish processes for the monitoring, detection and evidence capture of pirated content
- Active participation in the growth of RRP’s and SRAD’s tech-stack in relation to technological solutions in the fight against piracy (watermarking, identification tools)
- Upward reporting on a regular basis via line management and occasional senior stakeholder presentations; overall caseloads, cases of interest, capability changes, automation, forecasting, budgeting, revenue progress and expansion matters
- Represent RRP, and by extension SRAD, in engagements with various external bodies. Notably these will primarily be rights holder partners but will also, on occasion, include ISPs, license providers, payment providers and international organizations
- Ensure capabilities of the sub-unit are as up-to-date and relevant as possible, with consistent review of approaches techniques, points of comparison and tools
- Proactively maintain the work pipeline
YOUR PROFILE:
- 3+ years operational experience in a closely-related field; anti-piracy, content/copyright protection, open-source intelligence or cyber security
- 1+ year experience leading a team
- Proficient and demonstrable expertise in OSINT, HUMINT or CYBINT/DNINT methodologies and trade craft
- Fluency in English and another language preferable
- Personal and professional connections across the industry advantageous
- Knowledge and interest in the international betting landscape advantageous
- Exceptional report writing and presentation skills
- Aware of data protection legislation and implications
- Strict personal standards of confidentiality and security
- Motivated self-starter with an inquisitive mind
- Flexible to adapt to changing priorities, able to work to tight deadlines and willingness to travel (national and international)
Pay Range:$75K - $85K
Sportradar intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience, qualifications, and location.
