Job Description: Presales Consultant

We are looking for passionate professionals to work with us as Presales consultants in alignment with the sales team to meet business targets & revenues. You will be working with the customer from the start of engagement through to deal closure, subsequently handing over to the Implementation/ client delivery to deliver.

  • A keen interest in a pre-sales role, responsibility, and challenges that come with it. He/she should be a well-organized, confident, self-motivated, team player, resourceful, responsive, dependable, creative, and innovative professional.
  • A balance of commercial awareness (in particular the ability to consult with customer organizations and interpret their business requirements) with technical competence (particularly in terms of being able to liaise with client technical teams in the area of data/database integration)


Key responsibilities will include:

The Pre-Sales Consultant role is an exciting and challenging client-facing role that works cross-functionally with all facets of the organization including sales, marketing, product development, and delivery/implementation.

  • Proactively looking for creative ways to position Newgen’s Solution by incorporating specific industry/domain expertise and business/functional knowledge.
  • Working closely with the sales team to provide clarifications and answers to customer queries requiring deep product expertise on time.
  • Taking ownership of the opportunities and helping sales in creating a “Right to Win” strategy for each prospect.
  • Carrying out Proof of Concepts to demonstrate how Newgen’s solution could meet customer requirements and deliver values.
  • Working along with multiple departments (Product, Delivery, Technology, etc.) to respond to Request for Proposals, and request for Information.
  • Ensure compliance with Systems and Processes such as legal & commercial terms, Proposals, RFPs, RFIs, BOM, etc.
  • Giving demos of Newgen products and solutions and creating proof of concepts
  • Developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Newgen’s products and similar competitive products to effectively compare/compete and position Newgen.
  • Working with the marketing team to enhance Newgen’s positioning through brochures, collaterals, case studies, webinars, blogs, and conference participation.
