Job Title: Supply Chain Director
Job Summary:
The Supply Chain Director will oversee and manage the entire supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, vendor selection, and distribution of finished goods. This role requires strategic planning and execution to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply chain processes that align with organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and meet performance KPIs.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate contracts and pricing with vendors to secure optimal terms.
- Inventory Control: Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure adequate supply without overstocking.
- Logistics Management: Oversee the distribution of finished goods to ensure timely delivery.
- Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to evaluate past performance, forecast future needs, and identify areas for improvement.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Compliance: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations and standards.
- Cost Management: Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years in supply chain management, with significant experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., APICS, CPIM, CSCP) is preferred.
- International experience is desired
Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is an advantage.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Project Management: Direct large-scale business projects, ensuring successful implementation and administration.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments such as IT, finance, and production to streamline operations.
- Continuous Improvement: Conduct regular reviews and brainstorming sessions to identify and implement process improvements.
