We are seeking an experienced Loan Processor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in processing loans, particularly in construction and Business Purpose Lending (BPL). This role will involve managing the loan process from application through to closing, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations, and providing exceptional service to clients and internal stakeholders.
Location: Westwood, Los Angeles, CA - 3 days a week on-site
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of related work experience in real estate, fix-and-flip, new construction, rental loans, and/or portfolio term loans preferred.
- Experience working with LLC's Borrowers and entities
- Familiarity with business purpose and/or construction loan underwriting.
- Proficiency in financial software tools, including standard LOS and servicing platforms.
- Strong finance, credit, real estate, and/or business background.
Key Responsibilities:
- The Loan Processor plays an important role in ensuring loans are processed in a timely, compliant, and accurate manner.
- Process and prepare loan files for underwriting, ensuring all necessary documentation is obtained and verified.
- Work closely with team members, loan originators, sponsors, borrowers, and third-party vendors to guide contracts and loans from the application stage through to closing and funding.
- Maintain knowledge of construction and BPL lending regulations, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and company policies.
- Update loan data and documentation in our Loan Origination System (LOS) to ensure timely, accurate, and detailed records.
- Manage loan pipeline for both efficiency and compliance with internal standards and/or SLA.
- Obtain, review, and organize files necessary for borrower entity, property, and loan documentation, including entity documentation, sponsor financial statements, construction budgets, plans, and permits.
