Nursing Leadership Development Coordinator

An amazing hospital in the Santa Fe area is in search of a new Nursing Leadership Development Coordinator.

The Nursing Leadership Development Coordinator will join an organization with an outstanding reputation in the community and across the Southwest.
The Nursing Leadership Development Coordinator will report directly to the Director of Education. Supported by other educators and nurse managers and directors working on educational efforts for their staff as well, this person will help grow acute care staff throughout the facility to ensure safe and quality care is provided by all. The ideal candidate with have experience in a nurse educator role, and will have, or be working towards their Nursing Professional Development Specialist certification.
The Nursing Leadership Development Coordinator will be in charge of conducting initial and continuing education learning needs assessments of individual nurses and groups of nurses within the acute care units. This involves keeping staff up to date with current best practices and making sure they are following guidelines set by the hospital. In addition, the position requires developing educational programs for nurses all along the spectrum of their careers that are creative and align with the hospital’s guidelines, needs, and budget. The Nursing Leadership Development Coordinator will also need to evaluate their educational programs upon completion to make sure the purpose and objectives are achieved. Most importantly, this role requires implementing programs and courses that promote the professional development of Nurses.
The Santa Fe area is known for its breathtaking sunsets and view of the desert as well as some of the most spectacular architecture in the country.
