The Operational Risk Officer is a seasoned professional role. Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge, contributing to the operational readiness and migration to the LoanIQ platform at SMBL. This role will focus on a geographic section of the roll out (including the operational readiness of the scope of project plan, testing, development, deployment of upstream and downstream feeds to partner systems, and operational readiness). There will be a focus on Balance Sheet integrity and reporting.

The role is part of the Risk and Control 1st line of defense organization, and will act as a liaison, a point of check and challenge, gap assess, and assist in evaluating issues with potential impacts for next steps with a Risk and Control lens. The role will require an individual to understand the loan product, operations, technology, and product control implications.


Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience navigating and networking across an enterprise utilizing internal and external resources.

• Demonstrated strong business knowledge including the understanding of core loan operations operational risks, supporting processes and operations.

• Demonstrated understanding of operational risk and gap identification.

• Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Business writing experience preferred.

• System to system migration experience preferred.

• Accounting/controllership experience is a plus.

• Must have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications including Power Point.
