This is a site-based opportunity in San Jose, CA.About This PositionThe Assistant Community Manager supports residents with complex needs, including housing instability, mental health challenges, and substance use. You will help ensure smooth daily operations, maintain safe and compliant properties, and connect residents to necessary services. This is a mission-driven opportunity to make a meaningful impact while growing your career.Job Responsibilities Build relationships with residents to support housing stability and well-being Assist with certifications, re-certifications, rent collection, and compliance documentation Conduct property inspections and report maintenance issues Support emergency response efforts and incident reporting Supervise on-site staff and oversee performance in the absence of the Community ManagerJob Skills/Requirements 12 years of residential property management experience, including affordable housing Prior supervisory or team leadership experience Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills Proficient with Microsoft Office and property management systems like RealPage Ability to manage complex situations with professionalism and empathyAdditional Information Travel between properties may be required Occasional evening or weekend hours Supportive team culture, career advancement opportunities, and mission-driven work Opportunities for growth in compliance, operations, or supportive housing leadershipPay Range $22.00 $25.00/hour
