Overview: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Outside Plant Engineer to join our team. This role involves both field and desktop work, focusing on Business as Usual (BAU) pole jobs. The ideal candidate will have prior experience with CenturyLink, Lumen, or Brightspeed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and implement outside plant (OSP) infrastructure for pole jobs.
  • Conduct field surveys and site visits to assess and document existing OSP conditions.
  • Develop and review engineering plans, schematics, and detailed drawings for pole installations and modifications.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
  • Utilize desktop tools and software to create and maintain records of OSP projects.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OSP infrastructure.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with CenturyLink, Lumen, or Brightspeed.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of outside plant engineering principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in using engineering software and tools for design and documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various field locations as required.
