Job Description

Wastewater: We specialize in advanced wastewater treatment solutions, offering everything from primary treatments to complex, advanced systems, including enhanced nutrient removal and advanced biosolids processes. AECOM is seeking a Water/Wastewater Project Engineer for our Dallas, TX office. The qualified applicant will have experience in water/wastewater engineering and construction management principles, and will be familiar with the design, construction, and operation of municipal water and/or wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
  • Performs major portions of assigned water and wastewater treatment and conveyance infrastructure related projects
  • Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures
  • Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving design calculations, preparation of technical memorandum, preparation of contract documents such as specifications and drawings
  • Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered using modifications of standard procedures or methods developed in previous assignments
  • Provides guidance to graduate level engineers
  • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision
  • Independently performs all the tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works
  • Co-ordinates with other disciplines, sub-consultants, contractors and regulatory reviews

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
  • BA/BS + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
  • Valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 6-8 years of relevant Water/Wastewater and/or water conveyance industry experience
  • Texas PE license
  • Experience managing projects
