We are currently seeking dedicated and reliable drivers to join our team for during-the-day freight transportation from a warehouse to designated businesses. This is a CUSTOMER-FACING role.
Position Summary:
As an During-the-Day Freight Driver, you will be responsible for transporting freight using a 26' DOT box truck. This position requires individuals who are highly dependable, have a strong work ethic, and are CUSTOMER-OBSESSED.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a 26' DOT box truck.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of freight between from a warehouse to designated businesses.
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours, vehicle mileage, and cargo information.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in proper working condition.
- Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or violations promptly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and warehouse personnel to coordinate pick-ups and deliveries.
Qualifications:
- At least 21 years of age.
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License.
- DOT certification and a valid DOT Medical Examiners Certificate (MEC).
- Note: We offer DOT certification through our partner for interested candidates.
- Clean driving record with no recent violations or accidents.
- Must successfully pass background check and drug-test.
- Experience operating a 26' DOT box truck is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work during-the-day shifts (typically 8-10 hours long) and adapt to a flexible schedule. Start time 08:00 - 09:30 AM.
- Full-time availability preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
