In this fast-paced role, you will help remove obstacles and coordinate resources to ensure safe discharges from day one, leading to improved patient experiences and reduced readmission rates. Job Summary: As the Inpatient Social Worker, you will: Provide supportive services and counseling to patients, clients, residents, and their families regarding healthcare and home care programs. Serve as an integral member of the interdisciplinary team to address social, emotional, and economic concerns for optimal patient functioning. Assist families in understanding complex medical situations and develop care plans by coordinating resources. Respond to suspected abuse, neglect, or violence per ethical guidelines and state laws. Demonstrate professionalism through active participation in care conferences and transitional rounds. Showcase strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities while maintaining effective communication with patients and healthcare teams. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required. Healthcare and/or mental health experience in a hospital setting is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within six weeks of employment. Licensed Baccalaureate Social Worker (LBSW) in good standing in North Dakota.
