Summary:

We are seeking a Junior Java Full-Stack Developer to join our team in Plano, TX. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Java development, with experience in Spring Boot, REST APIs, and React. You will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment, working on both front-end and back-end components.

Responsibilities:

  • Full-stack Development: Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot, REST APIs, and React.
  • Front-End Development: Build responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using React.
  • Back-End Development: Develop and maintain robust and scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Database Management: Interact with relational and NoSQL databases to store and retrieve data efficiently.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other developers, QA, and product teams to deliver high-quality software.
  • Testing: Write unit, functional, and integration tests to ensure code quality and application stability.
  • DevOps: Participate in the deployment and monitoring of applications using CI/CD pipelines.

Must-Have Skills:

  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience in software development.
  • Strong proficiency in Java 8/11 with expertise in core concepts like Streams, Multithreading, Collections, and Exception Handling.
  • Experience with Spring Boot framework and REST API development.
  • Proficient in React for front-end development.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Platform.
  • AWS Certification (Developer or Solutions Architect level).
  • Experience with observability tools like Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
  • Experience with distributed databases like AWS DynamoDB, Cassandra, or CockroachDB.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, TDD, and BDD.
  • Experience with Jenkins, SonarQube, Git, and Maven.
  • Proficient in working with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with Containers (Docker) and Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms.
