Orlando, United States Tier4 Group Full time

We are seeking a Mechanical CAD Designer with 5 years of experience in design, support, and installation of dynamic mechanical, structural, pneumatic, and hydraulic integrated systems. This role is specifically for a CAD Designer, not a CAD Engineer.

  • Certification and Training: AutoCAD certification and formal training.
  • Software Proficiency: Experience with Inventor.
  • Technical Knowledge: Expertise in developing individual parts, weldments, and assemblies, with a clear understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Support: Provide technical support through the completion of Ride & Show design projects, working closely with various departments and divisions. Adhere to established guidelines and engineering drawing standards.
  • Design Documentation: Create detailed, weldment, assembly, and installation drawings to complete projects. Work with minimal supervision on tasks, including redesigning mechanical and structural elements for Rides & Show.
  • System Enhancements: Complete design modifications to improve guest comfort, reliability, and quality. Ensure all designs comply with industry standards for fabrication and machining practices, including ASME, ASTM, ANSI, AWS, and JIC.
  • Collaboration: Assist engineers with observations, field measurements, design, and testing. Interface with vendors to resolve production problems and plan project tasks for increased productivity and effectiveness.
  • Design Review: Provide design review support for accuracy, tolerance stack-up, form and fit, ease of manufacture, and cost-effectiveness. Assist technical services and field technicians with information and drawing clarification.
  • Liaison Role: Act as a liaison for the fabrication and installation of projects, ensuring drawings are accurate and conform to standards of geometric tolerance, weld symbols, fit and clearance conventions, proper fastener specifications, finish, radii, and more.

This position demands a proactive individual capable of delivering high-quality design work with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with a diverse team. If you have a passion for precision and a strong background in mechanical CAD design, we encourage you to apply.
