Job Summary

The Biomedical Technician II is responsible for the repair and maintenance of medical equipment and devices in a healthcare facility. This position requires a strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems. The Biomedical Technician II will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure that medical equipment is functioning properly and is safe for patient use.


Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment and devices
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
  • Order replacement parts and maintain inventory of supplies
  • Calibrate and test equipment to ensure accuracy and safety
  • Document all repairs and maintenance activities in accordance with regulatory requirements
  • Train healthcare staff on proper use and maintenance of equipment
  • Stay up-to-date with new technologies and advancements in the field

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in biomedical equipment repair and maintenance
  • Strong understanding of electronics, mechanics, and computer systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
