Description

Position Summary: The Clinical Coordinator, a Registered Nurse, collaborates with the Nurse Director to plan, organize, and implement staff orientation and training. This role supports staffing by providing orientation and training, serving as a role model and resource on clinical issues, conducting quality control, engaging in process improvement activities, and aiding in the development of policies and procedures. The Clinical Coordinator fosters positive staff relationships and attitudes. The position demands strong communication, customer service, time management, and patient care skills, while maintaining a high level of clinical expertise, knowledge, and leadership abilities. The Clinical Coordinator assists staff with both direct and indirect patient care during exceptionally busy periods and ensures all duties are performed in accordance with STMHCS's mission, values, pillars, and customer service standards.

II. Position Requirements

  • Licensure/Certification/Registration: Must be a graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with a current Georgia license in good standing to practice as a registered nurse.
  • Education: BSN preferred, BLS required. Certification in area of specialty is preferred. An Associate's Degree/Diploma in Nursing may be considered with 5 or more years of relevant experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of three years in the specialty area is required, along with excellent clinical knowledge and skills.
  • Special Qualifications: A history of high-level competence in nursing practice with a specific patient population is essential. Must be a team player and an effective communicator, with the ability to excel in patient care assessment, planning, and evaluation. A history of positive relationships with physicians and staff at all levels, being a role model for staff in customer satisfaction, and a commitment to the mission of St. Mary’s are required. Exceptional critical thinking skills and always professional in behavior and dress are also necessary.

Demonstrate: Potential for management or experience in middle management with leadership abilities. Must possess a high degree of self-motivation and initiative, with the ability to function independently after orientation is completed.
