Jones Brothers Company, Inc. is a full-service company based in Bossier City, LA. We provide design, construction, distribution, service, installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment related to the fueling industry. Our services also extend to assisting customers in all aspects of their wholesale, retail, petroleum marketing, and aviation fuel distribution businesses. We are a licensed General Contractor and offer hazardous material emergency response and environmental services and remediation.


Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as an Inventory Manager at Jones Brothers Company, Inc. located in Bossier City, LA. The Inventory Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of inventory control, analytical skills, inventory management, communication, and customer service.


Qualifications

  • Three years of previous inventory management experience preferred
  • Must have a working knowledge of QuickBooks Inventory software
  • Strong communication in writing, via email, and verbally with a broad range of employees, and reporting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and QuickBooks is a strong plus.
  • Must be a self-starter with strong time management and organization skills
  • Have a growth, safety, and customer-first mindset.
  • Must be able to drive a forklift
  • Previous experience managing a team of three or more people
  • Willingness to learn the existing inventory storage system and pull parts for installation and service team members from the warehouse or construction yard. Interest in improving and reorganizing existing systems for optimization.
  • Have the ability to work overtime and outside during inclement weather (heat and cold, rain, etc.)
  • Willingness to learn about unfamiliar equipment, materials, and stock items if new to the fueling industry.


Responsibilities

Manage company parts and supply inventory. Maintain correct stock counts, in-stock levels, reorder points, and turn rates in the system.

Conduct semi-annual company-wide inventories with the accounting team. Formulate and implement a plan to correct any shortfalls and show continual improvements. Perform weekly counts of consumable supplies and order as needed. Doing monthly rotating stock counts on crucial service and repair parts.

Special order parts for customers, installation, heavy repair, and service departments. Create a P.O. in QuickBooks and assign it to the job, update the teams on the order status, and stage the parts as received.

Manage all warranty parts, recalls, defective items, and cores to be returned. Track the shipment and make sure the proper credit is received, communicating information to all necessary departments.

Stage parts for upcoming jobs and daily service calls.

Perform all parts “counter sales” functions in QB, receiving payments, etc.

Work with Service Managers and tech to maintain truck inventories and supplies.

Keep the warehouse and yard organized, clean, and set to planogram.

Maintain warehouse security by limiting access to the space to authorized individuals.

Manage yard crew and their daily task and equipment maintenance schedule.
