The successful candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise in voice network technologies and be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining voice network infrastructure, with a focus on Voice Over IP (VOIP), Unified Communications, Networking Fundamentals, Telephony Systems, Security, Voice Network Monitoring, Collaboration Tools, Scripting, and Automation.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and optimize modern voice network solutions, including VoIP, SIP trunking, and Unified Communications (UC).
  • Ensure the security and integrity of voice network systems and data, including implementing security best practices and protocols.
  • Monitor and optimize voice network performance and reliability, identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Configure and install various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, phone systems, call management software).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate voice network systems with collaboration tools and other related technologies.
  • Develop and maintain scripts and automation tools to streamline voice network management and maintenance processes.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong understanding of Voice Over IP (VOIP) technologies and protocols.
  • Proficient with Cisco, Avaya, Microsoft Teams, or other leading voice network platforms.
  • Familiarity with network protocols (IP, TCP, UDP), network routing protocols (BGP, OSPF), and QoS.
  • Experience with Unified Communications systems and collaboration tools.
  • Proficiency in networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, and network security.
  • In-depth knowledge of telephony systems and voice network monitoring tools.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools for network management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex voice network issues.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Industry certifications such as CCNA Voice, CCNP Voice, CCIE Voice, or equivalent.
  • Experience with cloud-based voice network solutions and integration.
  • Knowledge of emerging voice network technologies and trends.
