We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to safely operate forklifts to move and transport materials, products, and equipment within the facility.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of focused Forklift operation experience in manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Forklift operator certification (Highly preferred).
  • Must be competent in safe equipment operation.
  • Osha 10 certificate is highly preferred.


Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and ensure the proper functioning of the equipment before and during operation.
  • Safely operate forklifts to lift, move, and transport materials, products, and equipment within the facility.
  • Follow established operating procedures and safety guidelines for each equipment type.
  • Adhere to load capacity limits and safe load handling techniques.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, storage areas, or production lines using forklift.
  • Transport materials to designated areas within the facility, ensuring accurate placement and stacking.
  • Secure loads using appropriate lifting attachments, straps, or other securing methods.
  • Assist in inventory control by verifying counts and recording information as required.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices while operating equipment.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections to identify any equipment defects or safety hazards.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns to the supervisor.
  • Follow proper rigging and lifting procedures to ensure safe load handling and prevent accidents.
  • Perform routine maintenance checks and basic servicing of forklifts, such as lubrication and minor repairs.
  • Keep equipment clean and in good working condition, reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the supervisor.
  • Follow established protocols for refueling or recharging equipment, ensuring safe handling of fuel or batteries.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and incident reports.
  • Complete log sheets or other required documentation related to equipment operation and material handling.
  • Report any incidents, accidents, or near misses promptly to the supervisor.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory records and documenting material movement as needed.
