We are looking for a skilled BI Administrator to manage and optimize our Business Intelligence (BI) platforms within an AWS environment. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both AWS services and BI application management, ensuring the seamless integration and performance of our BI solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • AWS Environment Management: Utilize a deep understanding of AWS services such as EC2, Route53, Application Load Balancers (ALB), and security groups to manage and optimize our cloud infrastructure for BI applications.
  • BI Application Upgrades: Lead the upgrade and maintenance of BI applications including Tableau, Cognos, and Alteryx as part of our platform modernization efforts, ensuring enhanced performance and reliability.
  • Best Practices Documentation: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of best practices for BI platform management and AWS integration to guide the team and ensure consistency.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with business analysts and customers to define technical requirements for BI solutions, translating business needs into actionable technical specifications.
  • Task Prioritization and Effort Estimation: Prioritize tasks within the project team, providing accurate effort estimates to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
  • Automation and Scripting: Create and maintain automation scripts for monitoring, maintenance, and cleanup activities to enhance operational efficiency and reduce manual workloads.
  • Driver Installation and Management: Demonstrate the ability to install and configure necessary drivers to support BI applications and ensure seamless operation.
  • Security and Authentication: Apply knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), Internet Information Services (IIS), Azure Active Directory (Azure AD), groups, and roles to maintain secure and efficient authentication processes.
  • Project Management Tools: Utilize JIRA and ServiceNow for effective project management, issue tracking, and resolution.
  • Vendor Collaboration: Independently liaise with vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring minimal disruption to BI operations.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exhibit strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors, ensuring clear and concise information flow.


Requirements:
