Outpatient Mammography Technologist - Full Time

The Danbury Hospital Outpatient Breast Center is seeking a full time Mammo Tech to join its dynamic team of passionate radiology professionals.  This is a day shift Wednesday 10am-6pm, Thursday 11:30am-8pm,Friday&Saturday 8am-4:30pm, Tuesday 4 hours, 36 hour full time role.  Must have 1 year of experience and ARRT SPECIALTY,RAD.  Pay based on experience and ranges from $42 - $52.51+ shift differentials.  Qualified candidates are asked to send resume to Christine.Petti@nuvancehealth.org for immediate consideration.

 

Summary:

Performs mammography procedures to help physicians in the care of their patients and supports the hospital's objective of quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

1. Greets patients, introduces self, and checks patient identification.
2. Reviews patient's script to insure that the appropriate exam is being performed.
3. Explains procedure and ensures the safety and comfort of patient.
4. Produces images and analysis images for interpretation to the Radiologist.
5. Assists Radiologist with invasive procedures.
6. Requires knowledge of MQSA requirements and adheres to them.
7. Performs QA tests daily on equipment.
8. Maintains familiarity of computer system to complete orders and cancel exams as necessary.
9. Recalls patient's prior exam history as pertinent to exam.
10. Exposure with other modalities.
11. Fulfills all compliance responsibilities related to the position.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.

Education: HS GRAD/EQUIVALENT

Minimum Experience: one year
Desired: Experience with patient care in a radiology setting. Specialty certification.

Manual: significant manual skills/motor coord & finger dexterity

Occupational: Significant occupational risk

Physical Effort: Very Heavy effort. May exert up to 50 lbs. force

Physical Environment: Some exposure to dirt, odors, noise, human waste, etc.
