School-based CNA, Exceptional Children

Taylorsville Elementary School

Full-time Temporary Position dependent on student's enrollment with ACS

Job Goal:

To monitor status and provide and/or assist with medical procedures for student

that requires constant medical supervision and care during the school day as

required by Plan of Care (POC).

Qualifications:

High school graduate, Certificate of Completion from Accredited CNA I

Program, Registered with NC Board of Nursing

Duties and Responsibilities:

-Monitor student's medical status during the school day

-Provides and/or assists with medical procedures as ordered by physician during the school day

-Provides and assists with student's personal care needs during the school day

-Notifies principal and supervising RN of changes in student's health status

-Notifies principal and supervising RN of changes in individual caregiver's health status

-Notifies principal and supervising RN when absences may occur to determine coverage for

student

-Serves as a team player and role model for other employees in the organization; demonstrates a commitment to continuous quality improvement; supports and exhibits organizational core values of caring, respect, integrity, responsibility, and high expectations.

-Performs other duties and accepts responsibilities as assigned

Physical Requirements:

-Possess the visual acuity to work with data and figures, operate a computer, do extensive reading and prepare and present written and oral reports and statistical data

-Must have finger dexterity and be able to physically perform the basic life operational functions of kneeling, sitting, walking, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, bending, talking, seeing, hearing and repetitive motion

-Must possess the ability to work in all environments (hot, cold, inside, and outside)Learn More
