Assistant Project Manager

Leading premier construction company operating in 30 states across the United States specialized in high end hospitality industry. In this role you will ensure that goals and objectives of the projects are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
Job Duties:
Attend Turnover Meeting that is scheduled by the estimator, with the project team.
Familiarize yourself with the details for the plans, spec book or project manual.
Review all line items in the schedule of values, as well as allowances, exclusions and
qualifications included in the proposal portion of the contract.
Review the final Owner Contract with PM for adherence throughout project.
Make routine project site inspections with PM.
Review and code all project related invoices for PM review.
Act as liaison to Superintendent and Project Management.
Prepare Owner change orders as requested by PM and post to Potential Change Order log in Prolog Manager, including back-up for Owner approval and subsequent subcontractor change orders once approved.
Ensure subcontractor and vendor compliance, such as subcontractor insurance verification and release to work on site.
Maintain issues list with status and update each item routinely.
Create an itemized submittal register, review incoming and returned submittals for
distribution.
Review daily field reports submitted by project superintendent.
Receive (and review with PM) all construction documents (plans, bulletins, memos, emails,
sketches, etc.) And distribute as directed.
Provide the appropriate team member(s)
Maintain timely and accurate communication with project team throughout the course of the project.
Provide notices to subcontractors as necessary.
Prepare meeting minutes.
Provide correspondence that requires scan to file to Project Coordinator, include direction for each item.
Periodically review and maintain documents stored in the Project File (R drive) for archiving.
Subcontractor reconciliations (sent, received and reviewed).
Manage punchlist from walk-thru with owner or rep and PM to completion/sign off.
Oversee completion of all close out processes, documents and manuals required by owner
and landlord with PM.
Other duties may be assigned to meet the business needs of a specific project and/or assist the Project Manager as needed.
Requirements:
Associate degree; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 1-2 years or more related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
