Our spacecraft enable the future of society: ranging from earth observation to communications and more.We'd love for you to join us on our mission of providing humankind access to the galaxy beyond our planet.About The RoleWe are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual to join our Accounting team as our first AP/AR Specialist. You will play a critical role in supporting our month-end close, financial reporting, and optimize our accounting operations. This position requires hands-on management of day-to-day transactions within AP, AR, and integrated systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy of our financial records. The ideal candidate will leverage tools like Ramp, ERP systems, and Excel to build reports and supporting schedules, develop ad-hoc reports for distribution across teams, and support budgeting and forecasting cycles. This is a unique opportunity to build scalable financial operations that directly impact procurement, revenue, and company growth.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts Payable:Upload and categorize vendor bills in Ramp; matching POs and invoices within inventory and procurement systemsReview credit card transactions for proper documentation and categoriesManage vendor setup, W-9 collection, and payment term trackingMonitor aging reports and flag discrepancies or duplicate chargesHelp manage custom payment schedules for inventory with large orders (+$1M)Accounts Receivable:Draft customer invoices based on contract terms and milestonesSubmit invoices through customer portals or via email as neededTrack open receivables and follow up with internal teams or customer AP contactsMaintain and update collections status, cash receipts, and outstanding balancesSupport customer onboarding by tracking PO#s, billing requirements, and contactsWhat You BringMust-Have:13 years of experience in AP, AR, or general accounting supportProficiency with modern accounting tools (e.g., Ramp, QuickBooks, Bill.com, G-Suite/Excel)Excellent attention to detail and a knack for documentation and follow-upStrong communication and coordination skills (especially with vendors and customers)Curiosity and desire to learn new skills, software, and strive for continual improvementNice-to-Have:Systems and process first mentalityExperience with manufacturing, hardware, or inventory-heavy operationsFamiliarity with ERP systems or tools like NetSuite, Palantir, or similarExposure to government/defense billing requirements (ITAR, progress billing, etc.)What You'll GainFirsthand experience helping scale a modern, tech-enabled finance functionExposure to custom ERP implementation and cross-functional operationsOpportunity to grow into broader accounting or operations roles as we scaleWork in a mission-driven, collaborative culture focused on precision and executionWhy Join Apex?Apex believes in creating a work environment that you look forward to embracing every day.
