Building And Grounds Assistant (Custodial)Provides custodial services and supports events primarily in Shriver Center; performs a variety of custodial tasks related to setting up events and maintaining the university's buildings, facilities, and grounds. Hours for this position are 11:00 P.M to 6 A.M Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (off Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday) on a rotating schedule to cover some Saturday nights. Schedule is determined in advance.Essential DutiesPerforms event set upsPicks up trash and/or litter from university buildings and grounds; empties trash receptaclesMay sweep and mop rooms and hallways; may dust and perform general cleaning of rooms; may clean windowsMay vacuum and shampoo carpets; may strip and wax floors; may clean and sanitize restroomsMay pick up and/or deliver equipment and suppliesMay perform cleaning/washing duties.Minimum RequirementsRequires a high school diploma or GEDNo experience requiredMay require driver's licenseKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesAbility to understand and follow directions/room set upsKnowledge of the use of either cleaning equipment/materialsAdditional InformationA criminal background check is required.
